The Lender, The Law, and The Land: Timelines, Guidelines, & Deadlines
Under contract, yay! Now what? Who do I contact first? Who needs to be alerted? In most real estate transactions, three partners are involved in addition to the buyer(s) and the seller (s); the lender, the closing attorney, and the real estate broker. Each of these professions involves each professional to operate on a different timeline, using guidelines set for in the lending practice and deadlines for meeting the terms of the contract dates. Agents will clearly understand who is doing what when with the buyer(s) and the seller(s).
